This is the beginning of a queer portrait series, in Northern Ireland, inspired by futures where patriarchy is subverted. It’s suggestive of ritual for those who crave magical processes that build community.
My initial research found that people who have left organised religion miss ritual, dressing in costume, colours and light. I want to offer people the chance to become their own icon.
